Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Occupational Therapy
AHPRA Registration Number: OCC0002021115
Julie is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for helping people regain independence and live meaningful lives. Her journey into OT was unique—she began her Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Occupational Therapy in 2010 as a mature-age student after spending two years living in London and traveling the world.
Julie has always been fascinated by the brain and the body and how they work together. Occupational Therapy allows her to combine creativity, problem-solving, and a genuine desire to support others in a hands-on, meaningful way.
With over 10 years of experience in aged care, Julie has developed a strong passion for dementia care. She has also worked in acute inpatient care at Westmead Hospital and in community-based rehabilitation, helping individuals regain independence after injury or illness.
In the private sector, Julie enjoys writing reports and conducting assessments, combining her love for writing with her clinical expertise. She values the opportunity to interpret assessment results and use them to educate, advocate, and empower her clients.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist for Westmead Hospital’s Community Brain Injury Service, she developed specialist skills in cognitive rehabilitation, supporting individuals and their families as they navigate life after brain injury.
Julie believes in creating a safe, open, and non-judgmental space for her clients. She utilizes motivational interviewing and a trauma-informed approach to ensure that each person feels heard and supported. Her philosophy is simple:
“I am not the expert in someone’s life—they are. I’m simply here to walk alongside them and help them find their way.”
Julie is dedicated to supporting her clients in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life. She welcomes the opportunity to connect and assist those seeking expert occupational therapy services.
